Gong Li changed her native Chinese citizenship into a Singaporean one in November 2008, which you can read about in my previous posts about her.
Three weeks ago in Beijing, her first public appearance in China after the citizenship change,
was at a L'Oreal event where she walked away from the stage after being asked about the "citizenship issue".
Now she will speak up on a TV interview, which is to be broadcast on Jan. 11, on Dragon TV, a Shanghai-based TV channel.
The actress told on the TV show that, "I will walk the line in my way and I don't want my life to be bothered by others' talking."
Gong Li also mentions on recording of the TV show, that her next film role might be in a black humor type of comedy, where she'd be acting together with Jim Carrey.
Many Chinese actors, actresses and directors have changed their citizenship without being black-painted by the media.
Perhaps Gong Li should sack her P.R. people?
